Having studied the Viola, Violin and Harp as well as singing in choirs from the age of 5, Charlotte won a full academic and music scholarship to Badminton School in Bristol. Charlotte then took up a choral scholarship at Christchurch Cathedral Dublin in her gap-year, before moving to London in 2003 to further pursue a musical career. Whilst studying academic music at King's College London (with a choral scholarship) she won the Advanced Performance Studies award and started to make a name for herself on the London vocal scene. During her time as an undergraduate, Charlotte performed for two extended seasons at the Royal National Theatre in their highly acclaimed production of Coram Boy (now transferred to Broadway), worked for the English National Opera Baylis as a chamber soloist and undertook many other recitals and concerts for well known choirs and chapels. She has studied singing at the Royal Academy of Music where she was a student of Dr Nicholas Clapton and went on to the Opera Studies course at the University of London's Birkbeck College before winning a 1-year scholarship to the London School of Film Media and Performance where she studied acting and the art of performance. She is currently studying with Linda Hirst at Trinity Laban Conservatoire of Music and Dance whilst continuing to be an active soloist on the London circuit.
She has many regular singing commitments including singing for chapels and churches such as the Lower Chapel of Eton College Windsor, session recording (including the backing track for pop-band Yes!'s new CD) as well as singing for choral societies and concert halls all over the UK and Ireland. Recent venues have included The Hayward Gallery, King’s Place, The Cadogan Hall and the National Gallery. She enjoys frequent travels abroad, including solo work with ex-Riverdance choir Anúna and has toured worldwide with the group including recent trips to Japan, Sweden, America and Holland. Her latest recording for the Anúna’s director Michael McGlynn features her singing the famous soprano solos of Allegri's Miserere. Charlotte is also active on London's young opera scene and has recently performed in the Royal Opera House's acclaimed production of Donizetti'ss Linda Di Chamounix in the ragazzi chorus which has been recorded by Opera Rara. Other recent roles include The Queen of the Night in Mozart's Die Zauberflöte, Cleopatra in Mozart's Giulio Cesare, Beatrice in Berlioz's Beatrice & Benedict, Vitige in Handel's Flavio and Fiordiligi in Mozart's Cosi Fan Tutti for a master class with world-renowned Mozart specialist Ian Page.
